Abstract:

Background: Chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, kidney disorders, obesity, and anemia remain major contributors to global morbidity and mortality. According to the World Health Organization, noncommunicable diseases account for approximately 74% of deaths globally each year, with many cases linked to delayed diagnosis and poor access to preventive healthcare. In many developing regions, individuals often seek medical attention only after symptoms become severe, resulting in avoidable complications, increased healthcare costs, and reduced quality of life.

Problem Statement: Many chronic diseases develop silently without obvious early warning signs. The absence of continuous health monitoring contributes significantly to late diagnosis and delayed medical intervention. Healthcare systems are also increasingly overwhelmed, limiting the ability of patients to receive timely screening and routine monitoring. This creates a critical need for accessible and intelligent preventive healthcare solutions capable of supporting early disease detection and continuous health assessment.

Aim: This project aims to develop an intelligent real-time health monitoring system capable of supporting early disease detection, continuous monitoring of vital health indicators, and timely medical response through preventive healthcare technology.

System Description / Methodology: This project presents Nexora, an intelligent real-time health monitoring system designed to improve preventive healthcare through continuous monitoring and early disease detection. The system is built on an integrated digital health architecture that combines sensor-based monitoring, wearable technologies, and real-time data analytics into a unified platform.

Nexora monitors key physiological parameters including body temperature, heart rate, oxygen saturation, blood pressure, environmental conditions, and nutrient balance. Health data are collected through integrated sensors and external monitoring devices, then processed continuously to identify abnormal physiological patterns associated with chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, kidney disorders, obesity, and anemia.

The system applies automated monitoring and alert mechanisms to support timely medical response and improve continuous health awareness among users. The architecture is designed to support scalability, future artificial intelligence integration, mobile connectivity, and remote healthcare support. 

Expected Impact: Nexora promotes a transition from reactive healthcare to proactive and preventive healthcare by reducing dependence on occasional hospital visits and encouraging continuous health awareness. The proposed system may contribute to reduced late diagnoses, improved healthcare efficiency, reduced hospital burden, and better public health outcomes, particularly in underserved communities.

Future Development: Future development of Nexora will include artificial intelligence integration, predictive analytics, mobile connectivity, and direct communication with healthcare providers to strengthen digital public health systems and support rapid medical response.
